Our Own Home/ Mi Casa USA

Our Own Home/Mi Casa USA is a free, statewide housing assistance program administered by the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer.  The program is designed to help homebuyers with bruised credit or other obstacles secure a conventional loan.  Through the Our Own Home program, the State Treasurer's Office guarantees 10% of the loan amount to the financial institution as security on the loan.  Applicants must have an annual household income of $75,000 or less, and the value of the home cannot exceed the county median home value as determined by the program's guidelines.  For more information on the Our Own Home program, please visit www.ourownhome or call 1-888-803-4663 to speak with a program representative.
