The Case Management Conference will be set on the first available call of the judge assigned sixty (60) days from the date of filing. The conferences will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week at 9:00 a.m.
The attorneys for the parties, or the parties themselves if unrepresented, shall complete a Case Management Order setting forth the issues and discovery considerations in the case. The completion of this document shall be initiated by the Plaintiff, and after consultation by the parties, shall be completed and filed with the Circuit Court Clerk five (5) working days before the Case Management Conference. Form orders will be available in the Clerk's office.
If the parties are at issue, the Case Management Order will be presented to the Court for signature at the time of the Case Management Conference. By this order, the issues to be considered by the Court will be presented, discovery will be regulated, the case will be assigned a trial date, or a further Case Management Conference set, as necessary.
The setting of a Case Management Conference will not preclude the scheduling of a prompt Temporary Relief hearing. Pretrial conferences will continue to be scheduled upon request.
If all issues in the case have been fully resolved prior to the Case Management Conference, it will not be necessary to file the Case Management Conference form. (See Appendix S).
Compliance with Supreme Court Rule 218 is mandatory, and failure to complete this document will subject the parties and attorneys of record to sanctions as provided for in Supreme Court Rule 219.
